SEWER DISTRICT HEREINAFTER KNOWN AS SANITARY SFVJER
DISTRICT NUIvif3ER 646, PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A SANITARY SEIM-R THEREIN, ATM FOR 11AKING ASSES-
VMNTS THEREFOR
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Al,,MS, I01�7A:
Section 1. That there is hereby established and created in the
City of Ames, Iowa, a sanitary sewer district known as Sanitary
Sewer District Number 646.
Section 2. That said sanitary sewer district includes all of
the lots and parcels of ground located within the following describe
area to-wit:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 4, Blk 17
Borne ' s .Addition; thence east to the southeast corner
of said Lot 4; thence north to the northeast corner
of Lot 5 of said Blk 17• thence east to the southeast
corner of Lot 1 of said kk 17; thence north to the
center line of Second Street; thence west 75 feet;
thence north to the north line of Lot 11 Blk 16,
Borne ' s Addition; thence west to the southeast corner
of Lot .9 of said Blk 16; thence north to the north-
east corner of Lot 7 of said Blk 16• thence west to
the southeast corner of Lot 6 of said Blk 16; thence
north to the south line of Third Street; thence westerly
along the south line of Third Street to the east line
of Duff Avenue ; thence south along the east line of
Duff Avenue to the north line of .Lincoln Way; thence
east to the point of beginning.
Section 3. That a sanitary sewer shall be constructed in said
district and the plat now on file in the office of the City Clerk,
parepared by the City Engineer, marked "Plat of Sanitary Sewer Dis-
trict Number 64611, showing the location of the sanitary sewer im-
provement to be constructed in said sanitary sewer district, terminal
points thereof, boundaries of said sanitary sewer district and each
lot or parcel of ground included in said sanitary sewer district,
is by this reference thereto made a part hereof.
Section 4. That all cost and expense of constructing said
improvement shall be assessed in accordance with the provisions of
Chapter 308, Iowa Code 1939, particularly those sections therein
pertaining to special assessments to the extent that the same is
assessable by law relating to the construction of sewers.
Section 5. All. ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage and publication as provided by law.
