DISTRICT NU11,TER 3461 PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A SANITARY SEVER THEREIN, AND FOR 11AKING ASSFS-
M7YTS THEREFOR
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AITES, I A'A:
Section 1. That there is hereby established and created in the
iCity of Ames, Iowa, a sanitary sewer district known as Sanitary
Sewer District Number 346.
Section 2. That said sanitary sewer district includes all the
lots and parcels of ground located within the following described
area to-wit:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 5 of NEJ SEJ
Sec . 5-83-24; thence north to the IIE corner of said
Lot 5; thence 'Fast 15 feet; thence North parallel to
and 114 feet distant from the Vest line of Lot 4 of
NEB SE¢ of said Section 5, to the south line of Oak-
land Street; thence west along the south line of
Oakland Street 232 feet• thence south pparallel to
Highway Avenue, 240 feel; thence west 80 feet ; thence
south 90 feet to the north line of Lot 9 of Wentworths
Subdivision; thence East to the MT corner of Lot 8
Wentworths Subdivision; thence south to the SVI corner
of Lot 7 Wentworths Subdivision; thence east to the
ITW corner of Lot 6 Wentworths Subdivision- thence
south to the North Line of Woodland Stree�; thence
east along the north line of Woodland Street to the
point of beginning.
Section 3. That a sanitary sewer shall be constructed in said
district and the plat now on file in the office of the City Clerk,
prepared by the City Engineer, marked "Plat of Sanitary Sewer Dis-
trict Number 346" , showing the location of the sanitary sewer im-
rovement to be constructed in said sanitary sewer district, terminal
points thereof, boundaries of said sanitary sewer district and each
lot or parcel of ground included in said sanitary sewer district, is
by this reference thereto made a part hereof.
Section 4. That all cost and expense of constructing said
mprovement shall be assessed in accordance with the provisions of
hapter 308, Iov,a Code 1939 , particularly those sections therein
pertaining to special assessments to the extent that the same is
ssessable by law relating to the construction of sewers.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
erewith are hereby repealed.
Sectirn 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
pon its passage and publication as provided by law.
