AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A SANITARY
SEWER DISTRICT HEREINAFTER KNOWN AS SANITARY SEVIER
DISTRICT NMMBER 2461 PROVIDING FOR THE COATSTRTTCTION
OF A SANITARY SEWER THEREIN, AND FOR MAKING ASSES-
MFNTS THEREFOR
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COTINCIL OF THE CITY OF AMPS, IOWA:
Section 1. That there is hereby established and created in the
City of Ames, Iowa, a sanitary sewer district known as Sanitary
Sewer District Number 246.
Section 2. That said sanitary sewer district includes all of
the lots and parcels of ground located within the following describe
area to-wit :
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 12, Block 2,
West Ames Addition; thence south parallel to and 188.1
feet distant from the West line of Franklin Avenue
to the South line of NJ SWj NEJ Sec. 8-83-24; thence
east to the east line of SVTj- NE, of said Section 8; thence
north to the SE corner of Lot 10, Block 2, Vest Ames
Addition; thence west to the point of beginning.
Section 3. That a sanitary sewer shall be constructed in said
district and the plat now on file in the office of the City Clerk,
prepared by the City Engineer, marked "Plat of Sanitary Sewer Dis-
trict Number 2.4611, showing the location of the sanitary sewer im-
provement to be constructed in said sanitary sewer district, terminal
points thereof, boundaries of said sanitary sewer district and each
lot or parcel of ground included in said sanitary sewer district, is
by this reference thereto made a part hereof.
Section 4. That all cost and expense of constructing said
improvement shall be assessed in accordance with the provisions of
Chapter 308 Iowa Code 1939, particularly those sections therein
pertaining io special assessments to the extent that the same is
assesable by law relating to the construction of sewers.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage and publication as provided by law.
