HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Establishing Sanitary Sewer District 146 i i ORDINANCE NO 614 I AF ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT HEREINAFTER KNOWN AS SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT NUMBER 1469 PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION i OF A SANITARY SEWER THEREIN, AND FOR MAKING ASSES- + MENTS THEREFOR BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA: Section 1. That there is hereby established and created in they City of Ames, Iowa, a sanitary sewer district known as Sanitary ( Sewer District Number 146. Section 2. That said sanitary sewer district includes all the lots and parcels of ground located within the following described area to-wit: Beginning at a point in the east line of Hyland Avenue �Iat its intersection with the south line of Block 1, Briley's Ad- dition, if extended; thence north along the east line of Hyland f Avenue to the north line of Sec . 4-83-24; thence west along section I lines to the west line of Scott Avenue, which is 390 feet west of the NE corner of Sec. 5-83-24; thence south parallel to and 390 feet distant from the east line of said Sec. 5 to the east and west j line thereof; thence west along said east ands west -j line to the west line of the Ej of E* of NW-j SE-J, Sec. 5; thence south along the west line of the Ej of Ej of NW-j of said Sec. 5 to the center lie of Woodland Avenue; thence east 219.9 feet; thence south to the south line of Lot 2, Block 1, West Ames Addition; thence east to the west line of Bonnell's Subdivision; thence south to the south line of Lot 1, Bonnell' s Subdivision; thence east to the west line of (Ellis' Subdivision; thence south to the south line of Block 3 of El- lis' Subdivision; thence east along the south line of Ellis' Sub- division to the center of Hillcrest Avenue; thence north 139.7 feet; thence east to the SE corner of Lot 2, Ellis' Addition; thence north to the SW corner of Lot 1, Ellis' Addition- thence southeasterly in a direct line to the SW corner of Lot 21, lock 3, Briley' s Addition thence east along the south line of said Lot 21 to the west line of Campus Avenue ; thence south to the north line of West Street; thence ) east to SE corner, Lot 3, Stanley' s Subdivision; thence north to the south line of Lot 4, Stanley' s Subdivision, thence east to the west line of Lot 1 of Stanley' s Subdivision; thence north to the NW corner of said Lot 1; thence east to the west line of Isaac Otis' Subdivision; thence north to the north line of Lot 21 of Isaac Otis' Subdivision; thence east to the west line of Hyland Avenue- thence to the SW corner of Lot 16 of Otis' , Illsley' s, and Parsonis Sub- divisions; thence east to the east line of Sheldon Avenue ; thence along the easterly line of Sheldon Avenue to the point of beginningC Section 3. That a sanitary sewer shall be constructed in said district and the plat now on file in the office of the City Clerk, prepared by the City Engineer, marked "Plat of Sanitary Sewer Dis- trict Number 14611 , showing the location of the sanitary sewer im- provement to be constructed in said sanitary sewer district, terming (points thereof, boundaries of said sanitary sewer district and each lot or parcel of ground included in said sanitary sewer district, is by this reference thereto made a part hereof. Section 4. That all cost and expense of constructing said improvement shall be assessed in accordance with the provisions of 1 hapter 308, Iowa Code 1939, particularly those sections therein pertaining to special assessments to the extent that the same is ssessable by law relating to the construction of sewers. Section 5. Ordinance Number 530 and all ordinances or parts of �rdinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. I Section 6.
