HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Establishing 13th Street and Grand Avenue Storm Sewer District I I� jt ORDINANCE NO. 61133 flAN ORDINANCE CREATINr, AND ESTABLISHITdG A STORM SEWER DISTRICT HEREINAFTER KNOWN AS 13TH STREET AND GRAND AVENUE STORM SEA"IER, PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A STORM SEWER THEREIN, AND FOR MAKING ASSESSIvP,'NTS THEREFOR. li BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA: � Section 1. That there is hereby established and created in theI City of Ames, Iowa, a storm sewer district known as the 13th Street ' and Grand Avenue Storm Sewer. Section 2. That said storm sewer district includes all the lots and parcels of ground located within the following described �iarea to-wit; Beginning at the center line of the intersection of 13th Street and Grand Avenue, thence north along the center line !l Grand Avenue to north line of S2 NEI SE4 Section 34-84-24, thence west along north line of S4 NE4 SET', Section 34-84-24 to the north- west corner of Murrayts Subdivision, thence south along west line Murrayts Subdivision and Evert 's Addition to southwest corner i NE4 SE4, Section 34-84-24, thence west along present corporate line to a point approximately 100 feet west of center line Chicago & North Western Railway, thence in a southerly direction on a meander ing line through Lots 1 to 23, inclusive, and Lots 28, 290 30 of ! Block 3, Ridgewood 2nd Addition to a point in center line 13th Street I� at approximately west line Crescent Street, thence east along center; line 13th Street to point of beginning. I Section 3. That a storm sewer shall be constructed in said district and the plat now on file in the office of the City Clerk, prepared by the City Engineer, marked "Plat of 13th Street and i Grand Avenue Storm Sewer", showing the to(,ation of the storm sewer iimprovement to be constructed in said storm sewer district, ter- minal points tht reof, boundaries of said storm sewer district and each lot or parcel of ground included in said storm sewer district, Is by this reference thereto made a part hereof. Section 4. That all cost and expense of constructing said improvement shall be assessed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 308, Iowa Code 1939, particularly those sections therein pertaining to special assessments to the extent that the same is assessable by law relating to the construction of sewers. �i Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict 1 herewith are hereby repealed. I Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and publication as provided by law.
