Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa: Section 1. That a buildinfy; line be and the same is here- by established on Fifth Street between Allan Drive and Northwestern Avenue,. which building line shall be twenty-five feet from and parallel to the South line of 'Fifth :street. "ection 2. 'No building, structure or addition thereto shall hereinafter be erected between said building line and the existing street lines . `-7ectiun 3. Any person, firm, co-,,-,artnership, corporation, or other association of persons, whether acting directly or through employees or agents, that violates, disobeys, omits, neglects, refuses to comply with, or resists the enforcement of any provisions of this ordinance small be deemed guilty of a i sdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall for each offense be fined a sum not exceeding one hundred dollars (1� 100.00), or Impr.li-soned in the City or County Jail for a term not to exceed thirty ( 30) days. ­ihenever the fine and costs imposed for the violation of this ordinance are not paid, the person convicted ,, ay be cc.-imitted to Jail until the fine and costs are paid, not exceeding thirty (30) days. Voting Aye: Adams, Knight, McCormick, MacDonald and Palmer. Voting Nay: None. Moved by Palmer and seconded by Knight that the rules be suspended and the second and third readings omitted and ordinance No. 599 placed on its final reading. Voting Aye: Adams, Knight, McCormick, MacDonald and Palmer. Voting Nay: None. Moved by McCormick, seconded by Knight that Ordinance No. 599 do now pass. Voting Aye: Adams, Knight, MIcCormick, MacDonald and Palmer. Voting Nay: None. Mayor declared Ordinance No. 599 adopted. 10 J. 7% Prather, City Clerk of the City of Ames , Iowa, do hereby certify that the above and foregoing Ord.
