AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 499 PARTICULARLY SECTION 4 '
and PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 3 of ORDINANCE 90. 499.
Be It Ordained By the City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa.,

That Ordinance No. 499 passed Burch 31, 1939, being Ordinance
entitled "An ordinance regulating size of buildings and other
structures; the size of yards, courts, and other open spaces;
the density of population; the location and use of buildings,
structures and land for trade, industry, residence or other
purposes; establishing the boundaries of districts deemed best
suited to carry out the purpose of this ordinance; requiring
the issuance of building permits before the erection, oonstruotion
reconstruction, conversion, alteration, enlargement, ectension,
raising or moving of any building or structure, and providing
penalties for the violation of the same", be and the same ,l
hereby amended by amending and changing the official Zoning Map
referred to in Section 4 and in Paragraph (b) of Section 3 Of <.
said Ordinance so as to change and rezone from Residence "A"
District to Business and Light Industry "D" District all of the
following described property, to-wit;
"Beginning at a point in the East line of South Duff`
Avenue which is 390 feet North and 33 feet East of
the Center of Section 11, Township 83 North, Range
24 West of the 5th P. Me * and running thence East
210 feet; thence South 60 feet; thence East 30 feet;
thence North 120 feet; thence West 240 feet; thence "
South 60 feet to the point of beginning, all in
Ames, Story County, Iowa".All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed.
This amendment to Ordinance No. 499 of the City Ordinances
of the City of Ames, Iowa shall be in force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
