AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 499, PARTIObLARLY
SECTION 4 AND PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO.499.-°
BE IT ORDAINED by` the City Council of the 'Oity of Ames,, Iowa:
That Ordinance No. 499 passed March 130 19390 being Ordinance
entitled "An ordinance regulating size of buildings and other
structures; the size of yards, courts, and other open spaces; the
density of population; the location andu se of buildings,
structures and land for trade, industry, residence or other' pur- : ._
poses; establishing the boundaries of districts deemed best suited'. ;
to carry out the purpose of this ordinance; requiring the issuance
l of building permits before the erection, construction, recon
istruction, conversion, alteration, enlargement, extension, raising
or moving of any building or structure, and providing penalties
for the violation of the same" be and the same is hereby amended
by amending and changing the official Zoning Map referred to in
Section 4 and in Paragraph (b) of Section 3 of said Ordinance so
as to change and rezone from Residence "A" District to Business
and Light Industry "D" District all of the following described
property, to-wit:
"Lot Twenty-three (23, Block 0ne (1) in West Ames
Addition to the City of Ames, Iowa".
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
llprovisions of this amendment are hereby repealed.
i� This amendment to Ordinance No. 499 of the City Ordinance
Hof the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be in force and effect from and
. after its passage and p ublication as provided by law.
