HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Traffic Code, Establishing School Zones ORDINANCE NO. 444 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0, 418, COMMONLY KNO10 AS THE TRAFFIC CODE, OF THE CITY OF AYES, IOWA, BY PROVIDING FOR THE ESTAB- LISHMENT OF SCHOOL ZONES AND FOR THE STOPPING OF ALL MOTOR VEHICLES APPROACHING SAID ZONES. Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 418 of the City of Ames, Iowa, which ordinance regulates motor and other vehicle traffic and parking upon the streets, avenues and alleys of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby amended by adding to Section four (4) of said Ordinance the following: "That School zones are hereby established at the following places in the City of Ames, Iowa: Lincoln Way at Kellogg Avenue, Lincoln Way at Hazel Avenue, Lincoln Way at Hyland Avenue, and Grand Avenue at Ninth Street, and all motor vehicles approaching said zones shall stop when movable stop signs have been placed in the streets at the limits of said zones, " Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as pr ed by law.
