LEGAL NOTICE
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, will meet at
6:00 p.m. on September 24, 2019, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames,
Iowa, to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, by
changing the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1507 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate, generally located at 507 Lincoln Way, is proposed to be
rezoned,with Master Plan,by ordinance from Downtown Gateway Commercial(DGC)to Highway-
Oriented Commercial(HOC).
Real Estate Description:
Survey Description - Parcel B: Lot 1, except that part conveyed to the City of Ames by Deed of
Dedication filed in Book 113,Page 76,andthe East 60 feet of Lot 2,except that part deeded to the
Cityof Ames by Warranty Deed filed in Book 119,Page 463, all in Block 48, Fourth Addition
to Ames, Story County, Iowa, and all together being more particularly described as follows:
Beginningat the Northeast Corner of said Lot ];thence S00°39'30"E, 134.61 feet along the east
line thereof;thence following the west right of way lineof ClarkAvenue SO4°07'30"W,47.97
feet;thence southwesterly, 37.07 feet along acurve concave to the northwest,having a radius
of 25.50 feet, a central angle of 839 T25" and being subtended by a chord which bears
S47035'11"W,33.89 feet to the south line of said Lot ];thence N89"48'56"W, 130.59 feet along
said line; thence N00°3544"E, 153.39 feet alongthe west line of the East 60 feet of said Lot
2;thence N89"27'17"E, 30.00 feet; thence N00°35'44 E, 33.87 feet to the north line of said
Lott;thence N82°07'57"E, 126.76 feet to the point of beginning,containing 0.67 acres.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Any parties in interest and citizens may appear at the September 24, 2019, Council
meeting to testify for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.
