Dear City Council Members,
As a very concerned resident of Ames- address . 512 Oliver Cir. - whose neighbourhood is likely
to be affected by the attempt to increase the rental housing in my area by removing Section 10
of the Rental Cap Ordinance affecting this neighbourhood, I would ask you all please to leave
Section 10 in place. Surely there is already enough rental housing in Ames-especially of recent
months-that there is no need to threaten us with allowing more in a quiet residential area.
Please, Council Members, do remember Ames used to be . famous for quality of life- a state that
is rapidly being eroded little by little by the building of( unnecessary) large apartments on
Lincoln Way and the adjoining streets.
