Hi Tim -
Appreciate the response. Did you see my other email earlier today which was forwarded from Traci Jennings at
Remax? This will help answer your questions.
To answer your question with my POV, you are right there is a market for owner occupied (especially under$200k)
but I am surrounded on all sides by rentals which makes it hard to sell to an owner occupied resident. Therefore
without a hardship granted, I will lose $10,000-$20,000+ on the sell of my house vs the value I could obtain if I had a
LOC. This is the reason I am asking for you to consider hardships.
Make sense?
Robert

Hi Robert,
Thank you for sending this material. I do not question there is a market for your property as a rental
(hence the proposed cap). I'm curious (and perhaps the rest of council is as well) how things are going
with respect to efforts in marketing the property as an owner occupied property. The realtors I work
with tell me that there remains a significant housing shortage of owner occupied properties, particularly
in certain price ranges.
Thanks,
Tim

Dear City Council, Mayor, and City Officials -
Apologies for the multiple emails but I just received the email below from a realtor who
had clients look at our house this past weekend. I wanted to provide this as further
evidence on how important hardships are for the community.
In addition, I've attached two letters that I had previously received from realtors with
clients who want to purchase our house.
I'm sure there are more potential buyers but these four(4) buyers are the ones I know
about and want to make a move assuming you are able to make clear direction on
hardships during your meeting tomorrow night.
If you're able to define clear next steps tomorrow night then I'll be able to sell my house
for FULL price and won't walk away losing money. If there's a delay in clear next steps
then I will reduce the price of our house by $10,000 on Wednesday (insert sad face) and
another$10,000 ($20,000 total loss) if we don't have an offer by early June.
Best of luck in getting alignment tomorrow night!
Robert
