HomeMy WebLinkAboutA013 - Email from Dilys Morris dated May 20, 2018 FW: A once beautiful family home in Oakwood Forest Neighborhood 44 Morris, Dilys E to: AmesCityCouncil@city.ames.ia.us 05/20/2018 03:14 PM Attached is a photo of the house on the corner of Forest Glen and Oakland that I look at every day. It has been a rental for about 20 years over which period this once beautiful family home deteriorated. This is what we want to prevent. The problem has never been the students but the landlord. I have spoken to the owner many times about the condition of this property and the yard, but to no avail. The yard is an assortment of weeds and behind the house is a fallen tree. The weeds and bushes on the northside of the property stick out in to the Oakland sidewalk. The bush and other growth on the corner make it difficult to see Oakland traffic and pedestrians when navigating the corner.
