The City Council recently approved the rezoning of the property at 3504 Grand Avenue, on February 13, 2018. Ms. Koepp is questioning the part of the legal description that references "Range 26", instead of "Range 24." Please confirm whether the legal should read as Range 26, or 24. The ordinance approving the rezoning, Ordinance No. 4334, was filed, in the Story County Recorders Office, with the legal description provided on the rezoning plat (see attached), which references Range 26. Please provide an accurate legal description in Microsoft Word format if Range 26 is incorrect. We will need to record a new ordinance with the correct legal description. Thank you, Ray CITY OF ." (This is the third one in three months that the legal description has been wrong.) More care needs to be taken on ensuring that we are given the correct legal, and that responsibility rests with the Planner. I have a meeting request out there to meet with the Director this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. I just made the request, and the meeting has not been accepted; however, I am anticipating that it will be. I consider the error a scrivener's error, and I would not be taking it back to Council; however, it might take a day or two to get it corrected and back over to you to re-record.
