Annette,
Please forward any additional information that will assist the County in responding to the request,
including a written narrative of the planned action. Thanks for providing info about the City's planned
process. Again, I think we will want something from the City (minutes) indicating the action that was
taken prior to County staff taking the matter to the Board of Supervisors.
Thanks again,

Hi Jerry,
I talked with our City Clerk and she would prefer we change the street name by Ordinance, which requires
three readings in front of Council. It's possible the Council could wave the three readings and approve it
at the first reading. However, we need to work with the City Attorneys office to draft the ordinance to take
to Council. We are still anticipating having the first reading at the November 10th meeting, but that hinges
on the Attorney's office getting everything we need from them in time to get on the agenda. We will also
be reaching out to the residents to let them know when the public hearing will be so they will have an
opportunity to voice any comments or concerns. Once the ordinance is approved, it goes into effect as
soon as it is published in the paper, which is usually the next Tuesday.
Along with the street name change, the house numbers will need to be changed to match the City's
addressing grid. I think I mentioned that in a previous email. If you would like, I can send a list of current
and proposed addresses for all the parcels affected by the street name change, including those in Story
County. I can also send you a copy of my change of address letter I send.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Annette

Annette,
The County Board of Supervisors meets every Tuesday, however our process involves preparation of an ordinance,
publication, public notice sent to affected property owners and it requires three separate public hearings before
the board. Could you let me know which day you plan to take the item to the City Council and perhaps along with
the narrative addressing the requested change, provide a copy of the City's action (motion, ordinance etc..)
Thank you,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
Yes, November will still work for us. Our regular City Council meetings will be November 10th & 24th and
there's about a 10 day lead time to get something on the agenda. If you know when you are going to the
Board of Supervisors for approval, we can pick the closest council meeting so there's not too much lag
time.
Thanks,
Annette

I believe so. I will touch base with Eric Cowles, our engineer overseeing that project, and see if November
will still work. I'll get back to you as soon as I talk with him.
Thanks,
Annette

Hello Annette,
I am checking on the City's timing of the road naming change from Grant to Hyde. Our dept recently received
another request to change the name of a road near Nevada and I was thinking we could address both at the same
time. Is the City still planning on addressing the change sometime in November?
Thank you,
