You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County,Iowa,will meet at
7:00 p.m. on February 24, 2015, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue,Ames,
Iowa,to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa,by
changing the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1507 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate, generally located at 710 South Duff Avenue, is proposed
to be rezoned by ordinance from Agricultural (A)to Highway-Oriented Commercial (HOC):
Real Estate Description: A parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of the Southeast
Quarter(SE1/4) of Section 11, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5t"P.M., Story County,
Iowa, being more particularly described as follows: commencing at the center of Section 11,
Township 83 North,Range 24 West of the 5t"P.M., Story County,Iowa,thence S89°11 E,415 feet;
thence South 192 feet; thence S89°1PE, 29 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing
S89°1 FE,242 feet;thence South 180 feet;thence N89°1 PW,242 feet;thence North 180 feet to the
point of beginning; 1 acre.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office
of the City Clerk. Any parties in interest and citizens may appear at the February 24,2015,Council
meeting to testify for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.
