The connection district follows a very similar process and is in the same code section. Primary differences are the connection district ordinance and collection of the fee upon connection rather than through property taxes. Preliminary Resolution 2. Resolution to Adopt a Proposed Resolution of Necessity and Set a Date of Hearing 3. Resolution Approving and Adopting Preliminary Plans and Specifications, Plat, Valuations, and Schedule 4. Public Notice (to be used for publication and notice to property owners) STEP 2 After the Certificate of Completion has been filed with me by the Public Works Department,the following documents need to be prepared by the City Attorney's Office. 1. Resolution Accepting as Complete and Satisfactory Work Done Under Contract; Ordering Final Payment, Determining Amount to be Assessed and Ordering Final Plat and Schedule 2. Resolution Adopting Final Assessment Schedule and Amending, Confirming and Levying Assessment 3. Notice of Filing Final Assessment Schedule Since we are assessing the costs of construction projects, several months elapse between Step 1 and Step 2.
