ORDINANCE NO. 4049
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF AMES,IOWA,AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 29.301 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,BY CHANGING THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON
SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.1507 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA;REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa;
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, as provided for in
Section 29.301 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the
boundaries of the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by
Section 29.1507 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: That the real estate,
located at 1025 Adams Street(proposed Adams Memorial Greenway), is rezoned from Residential
Low-Density(RL) to Government/Airport (S-GA).
Real Estate Description:Part of Parcel T in the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 27,Township 84 North,Range 24 West of the 51h P.M.,in the City
of Ames, Story County, Iowa, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest Corner of said Parcel T:thence S 89°53'30"E, 139.27 feet
along the south line of said Parcel T; thence N00°0651"W, 337.38 feet; thence
S89°53'30"E,247.64 feet; thence NO3°42'16"W, 135.05 feet; thence S89°38'41"E,
68.13 feet to a point on a curve concave to the east,having a radius of 1,195.92 feet,
a central angle of 0°26'30", and being subtended by a chord which bears
N11°53'10"W, 9.22 feet; thence northerly, 9.22 feet along said curve; thence
N89039'54"W,252.14 feet;thence NO2°5l'l9"W, 140.18 feet;thence N89°39'13"W,
185.86 feet to the Northwest Corner of said Parcel T; thence S00°06'51"E, 622.62
feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 2.97 acres.
Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3: This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after its adoption and
publication as provided by law.
