LEGAL NOTICE
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa,will meet at
7:00 p.m. on September 28, 2010, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames,
Iowa, to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa,by
changing the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1507 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate, located at 1025 Adams Street(proposed Adams Memorial
Greenway), is proposed to be rezoned by ordinance from Residential Low-Density (RL) to
Government/Airport (S-GA).
Real Estate Description: Part of Parcel T in the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 27,Township 84 North,Range 24 West of the 5"'P.M., in the City
of Ames,Story County,Iowa,being more particularly described as follows:Beginning
at the Southwest Corner of said Parcel T: thence S89°53'30"E, 139.27 feet along the
south line of said Parcel T; thence N00°06'51"W, 337.38 feet; thence S89°53'30"E,
247.64 feet; thence NO3°42'16"W, 135.05 feet; thence S89°38'41"E, 68.13 feet to a
point on a curve concave to the east,having a radius of 1,195.92 feet, a central angle
of 0°26'30", and being subtended by a chord which bears N11°53'10"W, 9.22 feet;
thence northerly,9.22 feet along said curve;thence N89°39'54"W,252.14 feet;thence
NO2°51'19"W, 140.18 feet;thence N89°39'13"W,185.86 feet to the Northwest Corner
of said Parcel T; thence S00°06'51"E, 622.62 feet to the Point of Beginning,
containing 2.97 acres.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Any parties in interest and citizens may appear at the September 28, 2010, Council
meeting to testify for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.
