The Planning and Zoning Commission approved this rezoning request (6-0 vote) at its meeting of March
17, 2010.
The City Council will take action on the rezoning request at the meeting scheduled for April 27, 2010.
The labels for the 200' notification are attached.
A copy of the map of the areas under consideration is attached.
The legal descriptions for this rezoning request are included on the rezoning map. Jeff highlighted the
section of the legal descriptions needed for publication purposes.

LEGAL NOTICE
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, will meet at
7:00 p.m. on April 27, 2010, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue,Ames, Iowa,
to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa,by changing
the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1507 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate, generally located at 530 Southeast 16" Street and
900 Southeast 16'Street, is proposed to be rezoned by ordinance from Agricultural(A)to Highway-
Oriented Commercial (HOC).
Real Estate Description:
(530 Southeast 16"Street)Parcel C,except the North 50.00 feet thereof, in the North
One-Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14,Township 83 North,Range 24 West
of the 5'P.M., City of Ames, Story County, Iowa; and,
(900 Southeast 16" Street) Parcel D, except the North 50.00 feet thereof, in the
Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 13,Township 83 North,Range
24 West of the 5`'P.M., City of Ames, Story County, Iowa.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Any parties in interest and citizens may appear at the April 27,2010,Council meeting
to testify for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.
