SUBJECT: Rezoning of property located north of the Intersection of Stange Road and Bloomington
Road from Convenience Commercial Node (CVCN) to Convenience General Service
(CGS)
The Planning and Zoning Commission approved this rezoning request (7-0 vote) at its meeting of April
7, 2010.
The City Council will take action on the rezoning request at the meeting scheduled for April 27, 2010.
The labels for the 200' notification are attached. There are some additional property owners and parties
of interest that are not within the 200' area of this rezoning request, which are the last 11 people on the
label list.
A copy of the map of the area under consideration is attached.
The legal descriptions for this rezoning request are included on the rezoning map.

You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, will meet at
7:00 p.m. on April 27, 2010, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue,Ames, Iowa,
to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa,by changing
the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1507 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate,generally located north of the intersection of Stange Road and
Bloomington Road, is proposed to be rezoned by ordinance from Convenience Commercial Node
(CVCN)to Convenience General Service (CGS).
Real Estate Description: Lots 2, 3, and 4, Northridge Heights Subdivision, 12tn
Addition, and Lots 1 and 2,Northridge Heights Subdivision, 13t'Addition.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Any parties in interest and citizens may appear at the April 27,2010,Council meeting
to testify for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.
