ORDINANCE NO. 3991
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF AMES, IOWA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ATTACHING ANNEXED
TERRITORY TO ESTABLISHED WARDS AND PRECINCTS AND
UPDATING DESCRIPTIONS OF ESTABLISHED WARDS AND
PRECINCTS BY: REPEALING SECTIONS 6.4 THROUGH 6.11 AND
SECTION 6.14 AND ENACTING AMENDED SECTIONS 6.4 THROUGH
6.11 AND SECTION 6.14; REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT TO THE EXTENT OF
SUCH CONFLICT.
BE IT ENACTED, by the City Council for the City of Ames,Iowa,that:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa shall be and the same is hereby amended by repealing
Sections 6.4 through 6.11 and enacting amended Sections 6.4 through 6.11; repealing Section 6.14 and enacting an
amended Section 6.14 as follows:

Sec.6.4.FIRST WARD DESCRIBED.
The area bounded by the following points, proceeding generally in a clockwise manner:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Lincoln Way and Beach Avenue;

precincts that are contiguous to the annexed territory.

Section Two. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict, if any.
Section Three. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as required
by law.
