Box 811 Ames, IA 50010 Phone: 515-239-5105 March 14, 2001 To the Owners, ants, and Occupants of the area hereinafter described, you are notified that the ncil for the City of Ames, Iowa, will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers,City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue,Ames,Iowa,in conjunction with its meeting scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on the 24' day of April, 2001, on proposed adoption of an urban revitalization plan for an area described as: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 5,Block 7, Original Town of Ames, Story County, Iowa; thence south a distance of 508.15 feet along the west ROW of Duff Avenue to the north ROW line of the Union Pacific Railroad;thence westerly along said ROW to the east ROW of Grand Avenue (US Highway 69); thence north along said ROW line a distance of 400.32 feet to the south ROW line of Fifth Street; thence west along said ROW line a distance of 25 feet; thence north a distance of 160 feet; east a distance of 77 feet; thence north 60 feet; thence east a distance of 112.8 feet; thence north a distance of 153.4 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 4, Miller's Subdivision of Lot 1, Block 44, Blair's Third Addition, said point also being on the south ROW line of Sixth Street; thence east along said ROW line a distance of 1037 feet; thence south a distance of 120 feet to the north line of Lot 8, Block 9, Original Town; thence east a distance of 106 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 3,Block 9, Original Town; thence south a distance of 72 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 7, Block 9, Original Town; thence east a distance of 180 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 1,Block 9, Original Town, said point also being on the west ROW line of Kellogg Avenue;thence south a distance of 108 feet along said ROW line to the north ROW line of Fifth Street;thence east 66 feet to the east ROW line of Kellogg Avenue;thence north 50 feet along said ROW line; thence east a distance of 180 feet; thence north a distance of 250 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 10, Block 8, Original Town, said point also being on the south ROW line of Sixth Street; thence east along said ROW a distance of 262 feet to the east ROW line of Douglas Avenue;thence south along said ROW line a distance of 180 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 7, Block 7, Original Town; thence east along said lot line a distance of 180 feet to the northeast corner of said lot;thence south a distance of 60 feet to the southeast corner of said lot; thence east a distance of 31.1 feet; thence north a distance of 6 feet; thence east a distance of 40.9 feet; thence north a distance of 13.6 feet; thence east a distance of 19.6 feet; thence south a distance of 19.6 feet to the north line of Lot 5, Block 7, Original Town; thence east a distance of 80.4 feet to the point of beginning, all being located in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, Section 2, T83N, R24W, in the 51h P.M. to be called the Downtown Urban Revitalization Area, and enactment of an ordinance to designate the land described above as an urban revitalization area.
