LEGAL NOTICE
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, will meet at
7:00 p.m. on July 15, 2008, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa,
to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa,by changing
the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1507 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate located 4401 Westbrook Drive is proposed to be rezoned by
ordinance from Planned Residence Development(F-PRD)to Residential Low Density(RL).
Real Estate Description: Lot 20,Clear Creek Addition II to the City of Ames, Story
County, Iowa.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Any parties in interest and citizens may appear at the July 15,2008,Council meeting
to testify for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.

SUBJECT: Rezoning of property located at 4401 Westbrook Drive from "F-PRD" (Planned
Residence Development) to "RL" (Residential Low Density)
The intent is to rezone the property so that it can be included in the proposed Preliminary
Plat for Estates West Subdivision, 2nd Addition, for single-family residential
development. The current designation of the property is F-PRD because it was a remnant
of the Clear Creek PUD that was never developed.
The Planning and Zoning Commission will take action on the above-described request at the meeting
scheduled for July 2, 2008.
The City Council will take action on the above-described request at the meeting scheduled for July 15,
2008.
The labels for the 200' notification are attached.
A copy of the map for the area under consideration is attached.
The legal description for this rezoning request is included on the map.
