Marek, City Attorney, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa 50010 (515)239-5146 Return document to:City Clerk's Office,P.O.Box 811,Ames,1A 50010 ORDINANCE NO. 3894 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 29.301 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,BY CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.1507 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA;REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa; Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, as provided for in Section 29.301 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.1507 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: That all land, generally located in Sunset Ridge Subdivision,zoned as"RH"(Residential High Density)be rezoned to"FS-RL"(Suburban Residential Low-Density)and the real estate zoned as"CVCN"(Convenience Commercial Node) be rezoned to "FS-RL" (Suburban Residential Low-Density). Real Estate Description: That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Fractional Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 51h P.M., Story County, Iowa, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest Corner of said Southeast Quarter of the Fractional Southwest Quarter; thence N00°49'54"E, 80.02 feet along the Westerly line of said Southeast Quarter of the Fractional Southwest Quarter to a point on the North right-of-way line of Lincoln Way in said City of Ames; thence continuing N00°49'54"E, 542.49 feet along said Westerly line to the Existing Point of Beginning; thence N90°00'00"E, 372.11 feet to the beginning of a 1,500.00 foot radius, non-tangent curve, concave Westerly; thence Northerly, 353.34 feet along said curve having a chord bearing N08°03'16"W,352.53 feet;thence N 14°48'13"W, 101.84 feet; thence N90°00'00"W, 290.20 feet to a point on said Westerly line; thence S00°49'54"W, 447.55 feet along said Westerly line to the Existing Point of Beginning; containing 3.51 acres; and, Y That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Fractional Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 83 North,Range 24 West of the 5th P.M., Story County,Iowa described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest Corner of said Southeast Quarter of the Fractional Southwest Quarter; thence N00°49'54"E, 80.02 feet along the Westerly line of said Southeast Quarter of the Fractional Southwest Quarter to a point on the North right-of-way line of Lincoln Way in said City of Ames; thence continuing N00°49'54"E, 542.49 feet along said Westerly line to the Existing Point of Beginning; thence N90°00'00"E, 372.11 feet to the beginning of a 1,500.00 foot radius,non-tangent curve,concave Westerly;thence Southerly,55.96 feet along said curve having a chord bearing S00°14'14"E, 55.96 feet;thence S00°49'54"W, 86.55 feet; thence N90°00'00"W, 373.15 feet to a point on said Westerly line; thence N00°49'54"E, 142.52 feet along said Westerly line to the Existing Point of Beginning; containing 1.22 acres. Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
