ORDINANCE NO. 3874
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF AMES,IOWA,AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 29.301 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,BY CHANGING THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON
SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.1507 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA;REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa;
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, as provided for in
Section 29.301 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the
boundaries of the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by
Section 29.1507 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: That the real estate,
generally located in the University-Impacted Area,is rezoned from Downtown/Campustown Service
Center to Campustown Service Center and from the University-Impacted Area to the East
University-Impacted Area and the West University-Impacted Area.
Real Estate Description
East University Impacted Area:
Beginning at the NE corner of Section 9 T83N R24W, thence west along the north section line a
distance of 1891.72 feet more or less to a point on the centerline of Lynn Avenue,thence south along
said centerline a distance of 1098.11 feet to the northeast corner of Duthie's Subdivision thence
westerly along the north line of said subdivision a distance of 565.11 feet to the northwest corner of
said subdivision, said corner being on the centerline of Stanton Avenue, thence north along said
