AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF AMES,IOWA,AS PROVIDED FORIN SECTION 29.301 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, TO CREATE A
CAMPUSTOWN SERVICE CENTER ZONING DISTRICT AND
RECONFIGURE THE CURRENT UNIVERSITY-IMPACTED OVERLAY
ZONING DISTRICT INTO THE EAST UNIVERSITY-IMPACTED AREA
AND THE WEST UNIVERSITY-IMPACTED AREA; REPEALING ANY
AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED,by the City Council for the City of Ames,Iowa,that:
Section One. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, as provided for in Section 29.301 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames,Iowa,is amended by creating a Campustown Service Center Zoning District with
respect to land described as:
Campustown Service Center
Commencing at the NE'/4 comer of Section 9 ofT83N R24W thence west along the north section line
a distance of 1891.72 feet more or less to a point on the centerline of Lynn Avenue to the Point of
Beginning,thence west along the north section line of Section 9 of T83N R24W a distance of 2311.16
feet more or less to a point on the west line of Lot 1 of Lee's Subdivision extended to said north
section line thence south 213 feet to the southwest corner of said Lot 1 thence east 80.1 feet to the
southeast corner of said Lot 1 thence north a distance of 52 feet thence east 133 feet to a point on the
centerline of South Sheldon Avenue thence south along said centerline a distance 339 feet thence east
a distance of 150 feet thence north a distance of 150 feet,thence east a distance of 118.6 feet thence
south a distance of 122.2 feet to the southwest comer of Lot 4 of the Auditor's Plat of Blocks 3,4 and

Section Two. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa, as provided for in Section 29.301 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by reconfiguring the current University-Impacted Overlay
Zoning District into the East University-Impacted Area and the West University-Impacted Area with respect to land
described as:

distance of 1891.72 feet more or less to a point on the centerline of Lynn Avenue,thence south along
said centerline a distance of 1098.11 feet to the northeast corner of Duthie's Subdivision thence

said subdivision, said comer being on the centerline of Stanton Avenue, thence north along said
