Iowa Code mandates that theCity Clerk provides notification; therefore, I will do it. This situation presents itself often. I believe that state law requires notification to all residents as well as the owners. Usually on these multiple-family URA's this is not an issue since there are no residents. IN the case there are occupied rental properties, including two six-plexes. We do not have access to reliable mailing addresses for these types of units. In the particular case, when you notify the owner for this entire URA, Jon Chester, can you please also ask that he copy and distribute the notice to all residents? I am completing the Plan for this Area and will have it down to you today, since I believe you need it available for public review 30 days prior to the hearing. THANKS!
