LEGAL NOTICE
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, will meet at
7:00 p.m. on September 27, 2005, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames,
Iowa, to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa, by
changing the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1507 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames,Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate, located at 198 and 199 Wilder Avenue, is proposed to be
rezoned by ordinance from "A" (Agricultural) and "RH" (Residential High Density) to "CVCN"
(Convenience Commercial Node).
Real Estate Description: That part of the Fractional Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 83
North, Range 24 West of the 5' P.M., City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast Corner of the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Fractional
Southwest Quarter; thence N00°42'36"E, 80.00 feet along the Easterly line of said East Half of the
Southeast Quarter of said Fractional Southwest Quarter to a point on the North right-of-way line of
Lincoln Way in said City of Ames; thence N90°00'00"W,498.44 feet along said North right-of-way
line to the Point of Beginning;thence N00°00'00"E, 399.93 feet; thence N90°00'00"W,441.00 feet;
thence N00°49'54"E, 86.55 feet to the beginning of a 1500.00 foot radius, tangent curve, concave
Westerly; thence Northerly 83.48 feet along said curve having a chord bearing N00°45'46"W, 83.47
feet;thence N90°00'00"W,370.83 feet to a point on the Westerly line of said Southeast Quarter of the
Fractional Southwest Quarter; thence S00°49'54"W, 570.00 feet along said Westerly line to a point
on said North right-of-way line; thence S90°00'00"E, 819.96 feet along said North right-of-way line
to the Point of Beginning, containing 8.96 acres.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Any parties in interest and citizens may appear at the September 27, 2005, Council
meeting to testify for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.
