This same issue was pulled from the December 16,2003,meeting. According to Diane (and she has visited with Russ Scott about it),a date of public hearing has to be set,and there are requirements for publishing a legal notice in The Tribune. On the December 16 agenda,this issue was placed under Fire: Motion directing City Attorney to prepare ordinance adopting the 2003 International Building Code (IBC),International Residential Code(IRC),International Fire Code (IFC),and setting date of public hearing for January 13,2004. The public hearing could be set for July 27 and still passed prior to August 1. (HOWEVER, the ordinance will not go into effect until it is actually published in the paper --which should be August 2 or 3.)
