AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
AMES,IOWA,AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 29.301 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN
SECTION 29.150L F THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT F AMES, IOWA;
REPEALING AL
HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa;
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa, as provided for in Section 29.301 of
the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts
established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.1506 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: That the real estate located at 3314 Stange Road is rezoned from "A"
(Agricultural) to"F-S RL" (Suburban Residential Low Density).
Real Estate Description: That part of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 84
North,Range 24 West of the 5'P.M.,Story County,Iowa,described as follows:Commencing at the Northwest
corner of said North Half of the Southeast Quarter;thence N89°21'45"E, 1321.39 feet along the Northerly line
of said North Half of the Southeast Quarter to a point on the Northerly extension of the East right-of-way line
of Stange Road in said Story County;thence S00°00'00"E,60.00 feet along said Northerly extension to a point
on the Southerly right-of-way line of Bloomington Road in said Story County, said point also being the point
of beginning;thence N89°21'45"E,611.63 feet along said Southerly right-of-way line to a point on the Westerly
right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad (formerly the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad); thence
S27-51'12"E, 1412.53 feet(recorded at S27°51'25"E) along said Westerly right-of-way line to a point on the
Southerly line of said North Half of the Southeast Quarter,said point being 21.85 feet Westerly,measured along
said Southerly line,from the Southeast corner of said North Half of the Southeast Quarter;thence S89°24'48"W,
1271.61 feet along said Southerly line to a point on said East right-of-way line of Stange Road; thence
N000 00 00 W, 1255.10 feet along said East right-of-way line to the point of beginning,containing 27.14 acres
and subject to any easements recorded or unrecorded.
Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.
Section 3: This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as
provided by law.
