ORDINANCE NO. 3725
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 29.301
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,BY
CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED
AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.1506
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa;
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa,as provided for in Section 29.301
of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames,Iowa,is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts
established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.1506 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Ames,Iowa, as follows: That the real estate located at 1021 Airport Road, is rezoned from
"GI" (General Industrial) to "HOC" (Highway-Oriented Commercial).
Real Estate Description: A Replat of Lots 1 and 8 in Southern Hills Industrial Park,
Second Addition to the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, being more particularly
described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast Corner of said Lot 8; thence
S89043'43"W, 309.94 feet along the north line of Airport Road to the Southwest Corner
of said Lot 8; thence N00000'07W, 227.68 feet to the Northwest Corner of said Lot 8;
thence N89°43'16"E, 99.69 feet along the north line of said Lot 8; thence N00°16'44"E,
56.29 feet; thence N47°15'24"E, 105.10 feet; thence N22°57'07"E, 93.04 feet; thence
S81°19'19"E,29.09 feet;thence N23049'31"E,68.69 feet;thence N80°47'49"E,41.15 feet
to a point on the east line of said Lot 1; thence S00°00'24"W, 505.03 feet to the point of
beginning, containing 2.47 acres.
Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3: This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as
provided by law.
