It is intended to establish an orderly transition between land uses and to reduce conflicts between v�p ,X0 different land uses by increasing compatibility between buildings and sites facing each other across l Sherman Avenue. v q Rezoning an area from "HOC' (Highway-Oriented Commercial)to "HOC' (Highway-Oriented Commercial) and "O-SLF" (South Lincoln Fringe Overlay). Jeff Planner, Department of Planning and Housing e-mail:jbenson@city.ames.ia.us _� 5—o3 fie,-hc�, �� . . s Legal Description for South Lincoln Fringe Overlay District Rezoning from "HOC" (Highway-Oriented Commercial) to "HOC" (Highway- Oriented Commercial) and "O-SLF" (South Lincoln Fringe Overlay) for the area described as follows: Commencing at a point where the centerline of South 3rd Street intersects the centerline of South Sherman Avenue extended south; thence east along the centerline of South 3rd Street to a point where the centerline of South 3rd Street intersects the centerline of the north-south alley in Block 5 of Isaac Black's Addition to Ames, Ames, Iowa extended south; thence north along the centerline of said alley to the centerline of the east-west alley in Block 1 of said Addition, thence west along the centerline of said alley to the centerline of South Sherman Avenue; thence south along said centerline to the point of beginning, as shown on Attachment A, "South Lincoln Fringe Overlay District."
