The matter appeared to be non- controversial on the first reading. HEARING ON TEXT AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO ALLOW REMOTE PARKING IN THE RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY (RH) DISTRICT, WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY-IMPACTED OVERLAY (O-Ul) DISTRICT, WITHIN 300 FEET OF THE DOWNTOWNICAMPUSTOWN SERVICE CENTER (DCSC): Mayor Tedesco opened the public hearing.There being no one wishing to speak, he closed the hearing. Moved by Hoffman, seconded by Vegge, to pass on first reading an ordinance making a text amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to allow remote parking in the Residential High Density (RI) District, within the University-Impacted Overlay (O-UI) District, within 300 feet of the Downtown/Campustown Service Center(DCSC). Roll Call Vote: 6-0. Motion declared carried unanimously. Due to the tirneframe of a series of steps we have to complete to make a development in this area occur by August of 2003, we respectfully request that you suspend the rules and act on the second and third readings of this ordinance at the February 11, 2003 meeting of the City Council.
