You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County,Iowa, will meet at
7:00 p.m.on August 13,2002,in the Council Chambers of City Hall,515 Clark Avenue,Ames,Iowa,
to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa,by changing
the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1506 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate,generally located on North Riverside Drive and Airport Road,
is proposed to be rezoned by ordinance from G-I (General Industrial) to HOC (Highway-Oriented
Commercial).

SUBJECT: Motion to Approve/Deny the Rezoning of Property Generally Located on North
Riverside Drive and Airport Road from G-I (General Industrial) to HOC
(Highway-Oriented Commercial).
The Planning and Zoning Commission will be taking action on the above-described request at their
meeting of July 17, 2002. The City Council will be taking action on the above-described request at their
meeting of August 13, 2002.
The legal description for the above-described property is attached, as well as a copy of the proposed
zoning map.
