AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 29.301
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,BY
CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED
AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.1506
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa;
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa,as provided for in Section 29.301 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames,Iowa,is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established
and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.1506 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames,
Iowa, as follows: That the real estate located at 2503 Hoover Avenue, is rezoned from "S-GA"
(Government/Airport District)to"RL" (Residential Low Density).
Real Estate Description:A parcel of land in the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
of Section 34,Township 84 North,Range 24 West of the 5'P.M.,City of Ames,Story County,
Iowa, described in a Warranty Deed recorded in the Office of the Story County Recorder on
December 22, 1956, in Book 90,Page 280 as follows:
One square acre in the southeast comer of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 34, Township 84 North, Range 24 West of the 5'P.M., Story County,Iowa.
This parcel can be more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast Corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said
Section 34;thence S89°29'49"W,209.08 feet along the south line of the Northeast Quarter of
the Northwest Quarter of said Section 34; thence NO°01'17"W, 208.74 feet; thence
N89030'28"E, 208.88 feet to the east line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
of said Section 34; thence SO°04'30"E, 208.71 feet along the said east line to the Point of
Beginning,containing 1.00 acres.
Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.
Section 3: This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as
provided by law.;
ADOPTED THIS 9th day of April , 2002.
