AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES,IOWA,BY REPEALING SUBSECTION 18.33(3)AND ENACTING A
NEW SUBSECTION 18.33(3)FOR THE PURPOSE OF DESIGNATING A BUS
LOADING ZONE ON MCKINLEY DRIVE ADJACENT TO FELLOWS
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL;REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH
CONFLICT; PROVIDING A PENALTY; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED,by the City Council for the City of Ames,Iowa,that:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa shall be and the same is hereby amended by
repealing Subsection 18.33(3)and enacting a new Subsection 18.33(3)as follows:
"(3) McKinley Drive.
(a) Parking is prohibited on both sides from Hayes Avenue to Van Buren from 7:30
a.m.to 9:30 a.m.
(b) Parking is prohibited on the south side for a distance of 50 feet west of the Fellow's
Elementary School west entrance drive,from 11:00 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.during school days only."
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute a simple misdemeanor punishable
as set out by law.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict,if any.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as
required by law.
