SUBJECT: Motion to Approve the Rezoning of Property Located at 1607 East Lincoln Way from
Government/Airport (S-GA)to General Industrial (GI).
The Planning and Zoning Commission will be taking action on the above-described request at their
meeting of September 19, 2001. The City Council will be taking action on the above-described request
at their meeting of October 9, 2001.
The legal description for the above-described property is as follows:
Lots 2 and 3 of Landfill Addition in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa
I have attached labels for the 200' notifications.

You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa,will meet at
7:00 p.m. on October 9,2001, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames,Iowa,
to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa,by changing
the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1506 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate, generally located at 1607 East Lincoln Way, is proposed to
be rezoned by ordinance from Government/Airport (S-GA) to General Industrial (GI).
REAL ESTATE DESCRIPTION: Lots 2 and 3 of Landfill Addition in the City of
Ames, Story County, Iowa.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Any interested person may appear at the October 9, 2001, Council meeting to testify
for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.
