BE IT ENACTED,by the City Council for the City of Ames,Iowa,that. Section,One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa shall be and the same is hereby amended by repealing sections 6.4 through 6.11 and enacting new sections 6.4 through 6.11 as follows "Sec.6A. FIRST WARD DESCRIBED. The First Ward consists of that part of the City of Ames which lies easterly of a line of demarcation described as beginning at a point where the southwost corporate limits intersect South Riverside Drive, and then, running north along the centerline of South Riverside Drive and the corporate limits to a point of intersection with the south line of the ISU Research Park;then west along said line to a point of intersection with Elwood Drive Extended,then north on Elwood Drive Ext to a point of intersection with an abandoned railroad right-of-way; then southwest along the abandoned railroad right-of-way to the south boundary of the Wessex apartment complex;then west along the said south line of Wessex apartment complex and west along the south line of Christofferson Park;then north along west side of Christofferson Park to the centerline of Oakwood Road;then west along the centerline of Oakwood Road to the centerline of Green Hills Drive;then continuing north and easterly along the centerline of Green Hills Drive to a point of intersection with Elwood Drive; then north along the centerline of Elwood Drive to the point of intersection with Mortensen Road;then west along the centerline of Mortensen Road to Beach Avenue;then north along the centerline of Beach Avenue to Lincoln Way;then east along the centerline of Lincoln Way to Grated Avenue; then north along the centerline of Grand Avenue to Twenty-Fourth S.trcet;then east along the centerline of Twenty-Fourth Street to Jensen Avenue;then north along the centerline of Jensen Avenue to Luther Drive; then west and north along the centerline of Luther Drive to Twenty-Eighth Street,then west along the centerline ofTwenty-Eighth Street to Grazed Avenue;then north along the centerline of Grand Avenue to the north corporate limits of the city;then east along north corporate limits to Skunk River; then north along Skunk River to the north line of the DOT property;them easterly along the DOT property to the northeast comer of the DOT property; then south and westerly along the DOT property to the centerline of the Skunk River;then southerly along the centerline of the Skunk River to the north boundary of Inis Grove Park;then east and south along the northeast boundary of Inns Grove park to the centerline of the Skunk River; then southeasterly along the centerline of the Skunk River to the north boundary of River Valley Park;then along the north and cast boundary of River Valley Park to the centerline of 13th Street; then cast along the centerline of 13th Street to the west boundary of the Eastgate commercial area;then north and east and north along the westboundary of Eastgate commercial area;then continuing notch along the west boundary of the North Dayton Industrial Development site;then east along the north boundary of the North Dayton Industrial Development site to Dayton Avenue; then north along the centerline of Dayton Avenue to the Eagle's Loft Child Care Center; and then along the south, west and north boundaries of the Eagle's Loft Child Care Center to the centerline of Dayton Avenue;then north along the centerline of Dayton Avenue to the north line of the USDA complex;then east along said north border to Interstate 35;then south along the west line of Interstate 35,following the corporate limits to the northern boundary of the Union Pacific railroad tracks;then west,south and east along said railroad tracks across Interstate 35 to the west boundary of the Barilla property; then north and 1 11/01/2001 08:51 SECRETARY OF STATE PROCESSING 4 915152395142 NO.751 P004 east along the border of the Batilla property;then south along the east border of the Barilla property to E Lincoln Way;then west along E T incoln Way across Interstate 35 to the west line of Interstate 35; then south along the west line of Interstate 35 following the corporate limits to South Dayton Avenue; then south along South Dayton Avenue to the south border of the Cyclone Truck Stop property;then west along the south and west boundaries of the Cyclone Truck Stop property to US Highway 30, then west along US highway 30;then north along the corporate limits to South 16th Street-, then east along South 16th Street to the westerly boundary of the South Dayton commerciaVimdustrial development area; then north along the west line of the South Dayton eommetrial/industrial development area;then west along The south corporate limits;then south along the east corporate limits to US Highway 30;then east along US Highway 30 to the east border of the youth Sports Complex and the corporate limits;then south and westerly along the corporate limmits to.,the point of beginning. The Second Ward consists of that part of the City of Ames which lies north and west of a line of demarcation described as beginning at a point where Squaw Creek intersects the northwest corporate limits of the City,as said limits are now or hereafter established;then south and east along the centerline of Squaw Creek to a point of intersection with Stange Road; then south along the centerline of Stange Road to Parnmel Drive; then east along the centerline of Pammel Drive to Wallace Road; then south along the centerline of Wallace Road to College Creek; then east along College Creek to Elwood Drive;then south along the centerline of Elwood Drive to the intersection. with Lincoln Way; then east along the centerline of Lincoln Way to the intersection.with Grand ,Avenue;then north along the centerline of Grand Aveuuc to Twenty-Fourth Strcet;then east along the centerline of Twenty-Fourth Street to Jensen Avenue;then north along the centerline of Jensen Avenue to Luther Drive;then west and north along the centerline of Luther Drive to Twenty-Eighth Street;then west along the centerline of Twenty-Eighth Street to Grand Avenue;then north along the centerline of Grand Avenue to a point on the north corporate limits of the city; then following the corporate limits west and south to the point of beginning_ Sec.6.6. TIE"WARD DESCRIBED. The Third Ward consists of that part of the City of Ames lying south and west of a line of demarcation described as beginning at the point where the westernmost corporate limits of the City, as said limits are now or hereafter established, intersect with Lincoln Way; then south and easterly along th.e west corporate limits to the north line of US Highway 30;then east along the north line of US Highway 30 to the east border of the Meadowwood Apartment Complex;then north and east and south along the corporate limits to the south corporate limits;then east and south along the corporate limits to Zumwalt Station Road;then east along the south corporate limits to the intersection of Green Hills Road and Oakwood Road; their north and east along the centerline of Green Hills Drive to Elwood Drive;then north along the centerline of Elwood Drive to Mortensen Road;then west along the centerline of Mortensen Road to Beach Avenue;then north along the centerline of Beach Avenue to Lincoln Way;then west along the centerline of Lincoln Way, and along the corporate limits to the point of beginning. Sec 6.7. FOURTH WARD DESCRIBED.
