RE: Parking Regulations on Hunt Street
Dear Mr. Guerdet:
At their meeting of October 10, 2000, the Ames City Council directed the City Attorney to draft an
ordinance changing the current alternate-side parking prohibitions along Hunt Street(Sheldon to
Hayward) to eliminate the four-hour parking limit (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and to provide a more
accommodating 9 p.m. to midnight change-over period.
This is an ordinance change, and thus, requires three readings before it becomes effective. I would
anticipate that the first reading will occur at the Council's next meeting (on October 24), the
second reading on November 14, and the third and adoption on November 28. If you have any
questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
ti 1NA-d-
Diane Voss
