AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,ADOPTED BY SECTION 29.5
OF THE MUN CIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA;
CHANGING THE OUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED
AND SHOWN N SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.6
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa;
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, adopted by Section 29.5 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames,Iowa,is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established
and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.6 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames,
Iowa, as follows: That the following described real estate,generally located on the Northwest Corner of State
Avenue and Dartmoor Road,is proposed to be rezoned by ordinance from A(Agricultural)to RL(Residential
Low Density).
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Commencing at the SW corner of Lot 10, Christensen's Subd. In Sec. 16,
T83N R24W of the 51'. P.M., Iowa; thence S16°47'E 192.9 ft.; thence S8°30'E 102.0 ft. to the point of
beginning: thence N38°48'W 45 .0 ft.; thence S5°46'W 128.3 ft.; thence S1°24'E 227.3 ft.; thence
N88°34'W 140.3ft.; thence SO°OS E 244.6 ft. to the centerline of the local road; thence S84°54'E 401.4 ft.
along said road; thence N26°39'E 80.7 ft. to the NW corner of Lot 12 of said Christensen's Subd.; thence
N7°49E 100.5 ft.; thence N8'30'W 104.3 ft. to the point of beginning.
And that the following described real estate, generally located south of Dartmoor Road, on Dartmoor Drive
and Dartmoor Lane, is proposed to be rezoned by ordinance from A (Agricultural)to RL(Residential Low
Density).
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: L is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11, and existing public right of way, all in the
Ferguson Subdivision in the Southeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the
5`'P.M., Story County, Iowa, Containing 7.42 acres.
Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Section 3: This ordinance its in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as
provided by law.
