O.Box 811 Ames,IA 50010 Phone: 515-239-5105 LEGAL NOTICE You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa,will meet at 7:00 p.m. on June 27, 2000, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa, to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,Iowa,by changing the boundaries of the districts as shown on said map as provided in Section 29.1506 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: That the following described real estate comprised of 2.5 acres of land generally located at 4540 and 4612 Steinbeck Street is rezoned from CCN (Community Commercial Node) to R-H (Residential High Density). PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 21 of the First Addition, Dauntless Subdivision, an official plat; thence north 90°00'00" East, 39.08 feet; thence along a curve concave southerly an arc distance of 280.16 feet whose radius is 1838.76 feet and whose chord bears south 85°38'06" east,a distance of 279.89 feet;thence along a curve concave westerly an arc distance of 201.69 feet whose radius is 2470.00 feet and whose chord bears south 13°12'47" west, a distance of 201.64 feet; thence north 83°14'00" west, 332.09 feet; thence north 17°55'00" east, 187.57 feet to the point of beginning and containing approximately 63,964 square feet; and, Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 22 of the First Addition, Dauntless Subdivision,an official plat; thence along a curve concave northerly an arc distance of 216.56 feet whose radius is 1870.86 feet and whose chord bears south 83°34'47" east, a distance of 216.44 feet;thence south 03°06'15" west, 197.60 feet;thence north 83°14'00" west, 250.72 feet; thence along a curve concave westerly an arc distance of 197.13 feet whose radius is 2530.00 feet and whose chord bears north 13°04'30" east, a distance of 197.08 feet to the point of beginning and containing approximately 45,201 square feet. You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of the City Clerk. Any parties in interest and citizens may appear at the June 27, 2000, Council meeting to testify for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.
