Dear Cessna Resident:
In late November, members of the City staff were invited to meet with a group of eight property
owners along Cessna. The residents expressed their frustration with parking and traffic problems
along Cessna between Beach and Agg Avenue. At this meeting, the neighbors discussed different
parking restrictions that would mitigate these problems and finally agreed to request that the City
implement a new regulation prohibiting parking on both sides of Cessna from Beach to
Country Club from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
As you can imagine, it is difficult to obtain agreements from all the property owners along any
street regarding an appropriate parking regulation. City Staff is prepared to support this request.
This support is based on the assumption that the proposed regulation is the preferred alternative
for the vast majority of the residents along the route. This request for the new parking
prohibition will be considered by the City Council on December 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in the City
Hall Council Chambers. I am sure the City Council members would welcome your opinion
regarding this proposal, if you so desire.
Please give me a call if you have any questions about this proposal.
Sincerely,
st,
Steven L. Schainker
City Manager
