LEGAL NOTICE
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, will meet at
7:00 p.m. on September 8, 1998, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames,
Iowa, to consider a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, by
enacting a Planned-Unit Development Overlay Designation on a district shown on said map as provided
in Section 29.6 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That a Planned-Unit Development Overlay Designation be enacted upon the following described real
estate, generally located Twain Street west of Dickinson Avenue:
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Outlot X in First Addition, Dauntless Subdivision, in the City of
Ames, Story County, Iowa.
You are hereby notified that the proposed ordinance making such a change is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Any interested person may appear at the September 8, 1998, Council meeting to testify
for or against the proposed ordinance. Written testimony will also be accepted.

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA,ADOPTED BY SECTION 29.5
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA;
TO ENACT A PLANNED-UNIT DEVELOPMENT OVERLAY DESIGNATION
ON A DISTRICT AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN
SECTION 29.6 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa;
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa, adopted by Section 29.5 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by enacting a Planned-Unit Development
Overlay Designation on a district established and shown on said Map in the manner authorized by the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That a Planned-Unit Development Overlay Designation be enacted upon the following
described real estate, generally located on Twain Street west of Dickinson Avenue:
Property Description: Outlot X in First Addition, Dauntless Subdivision, in the City of Ames, Story
County, Iowa.
Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3: This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication
as provided by law.
ADOPTED THIS day of 1998.
