AN ORDINANCE TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE 1997 EDITION OF THE
UNIFORM BUILDING CODE WITH DELETIONS AND ADDITIONS AS
STATED IN THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa, that the 1997 Edition of the Uniform
Building Code as published by the International Conference of Building Officials is hereby adopted, subject to deletions
and additions stated in Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, is hereby adopted as the Building
Code for the City of Ames, Iowa.
