AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES,IOWA,BY REPEALING SUBSECTION 28.701(3)AND RE-ADOPTING
THE SAME REVISED TO ALLOW APPOINTMENT TO TWO TERMS ON THE
ELECTRIC UTILITY OPERATIONS REVIEW AND ADVISORY BOARD;
REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT;AND ESTABLISHING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa, that:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa shall be and the same is hereby amended by
repealing Subsection 28.701(3)hereof and re-adopting the same revised to read as follows:
"(3) No person shall be appointed to the Electric Utility Operations Review and Advisory Board
for more than two five-year terms. No person shall serve on that board for longer than ten continuous
years."
Section Two. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict, if any.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as
required by law.
