AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, BY ENACTING NEW SUBSECTIONS 18.31(218), 18.31(219)
AND 18.31(220);REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT;
PROVIDING A PENALTY;AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED,by the City Council for the City of Ames,Iowa,that:
Section One. The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa shall be and the same is hereby amended by
enacting new Subsections 18.31(218), 18.31(219)and 18.31(220)as follows:
"(218) COCONINO ROAD.
(a) Parking is prohibited at all times on the west side from the south line of Mortenson
Road to Maricopa Circle.
(b) Parking is prohibited on the east side from the south line of Mortenson Road south
to a point 75 feet south of the south line of the first private drive on the east side of Coconino Road;
and,from a point 75 feet north of the north line of the second private drive on the east side of Coconino
Road,south to the end of Coconino Road.
(219) MARICOPA DRIVE.
(a) Parking is prohibited at all times on the north side from a point perpendicular to the
center of Maricopa Circle,east a distance of 240 feet.
(b) Parking is prohibited at all times on the south side from Maricopa Circle east to the
end of Maricopa Drive.
(220) MARICOPA CIRCLE. Parking is prohibited at all times."
Section Two. Violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute a simple misdemeanor punishable
by a fine not to exceed$100 or by imprisonment not to exceed 30 days.
Section Three. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict,if any.
Section Four. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as
required by law.
