HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Request from North Grand Mall to review parking standards 5 -18 September 17, 1996 Mayor Larry Curtis and City Council City of Ames 515 Clark Ave. Ames, IA 50010 Dear Mr. Mayor, I have recently had several conversations with the Ames City Staff regarding the current parking standards for shopping centers in Ames, Iowa. I would like to request that the City Council review and adjust the current standards to a number that more accurately reflects the industry average. The City Staff and North Grand Staff have collected a great amount of information from comparable cities that supports our concern that the parking standard for shopping centers in Ames, Iowa is quite high relative to these cities and the industry average. I would like to request that you refer this matter to the City Staff as expeditiously as possible so that we may begin the process of amending the current standard. Please give me a call if you have any questions. Thank you for your assistance.
