AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 29.5
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA;
CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED
AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 29.6
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa:
Section 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa,
adopted by Section 29.5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa,
is amended by changing the boundaries of the districts established and
shown on said Map in the manner authorized by Section 29.6 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
That the following described real estate, generally located Northwest
of the intersection of East 13th Street and Dayton Avenue, will be rezoned
from A-1 (Agricultural, Story County) to G-C (General Commercial) :
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Parcel "A": The SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of
Section 36 Township 84 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. , Story
County, Iowa, except the South 300.00 feet of said SE 1/4-SE 1/4 further
described as follows: Beginning at a point N. 0" 06' 52"W. 300.00 feet of
the S.E. corner of said Section 36, thence S. 89-3712211W. along the North
City corporation line 1,321.29 feet, thence N. 0'0015611E along the East line
of the West 1/2 of the SE 1/4, 1,022.72 feet to the Northwest corner of the
said SE 1/4-SE 1/4 thence N 89'59'27" E. along the North line of said SE
1/4-SE 1/4 1,318.27 feet to the Northeast corner of said SE 1/4-SE 1/4,
thence S. 0�06152" E along the East line of said Section 36, 1,014.23 feet
to the point of beginning. Containing 30.85 acres including 0.93 acres of
road right-of-way.
and that the following described real estate, generally located
Northwest of the intersection of East 13th Street and Dayton Avenue, will be
rezoned from G-I (General Industrial) to G-C (General Commercial) : Parcel
"C": The South 300.00 feet of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 36,
Township 84 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. , Story County, Ames,
Iowa. Containing 9.10 acres, including 1.48 acres of road right-of-way.
Section 2: All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict:,,, ,
Section 3: This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after
its adoption and publication as provided by law.
