AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE NAMES OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE t// 0 1995 no
CITY OF AMES, IOWA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADDING THE PREFIX hu L VIE
"NORTH".
BE IT ENACTED,by the City Council for the City of Ames,Iowa,that: Reoordnp Fee$

Section One. The name of that portion of Fourth Street that extends between Elm Avenue and Riverside Drive
is changed to"North Fourth Street".
Section Two. The name of that portion of Third Street that extends between Fourth Street and Riverside Drive
is changed to"North Third Street".
Section Tbree- The name of that portion of Second Street that extends between Grand Avenue and Riverside
Drive is changed to"North Second Street".
Section Four. The name of that portion of Riverside Drive that extends between Lincoln Way and Fourth Street
is changed to"North Riverside Drive".
Section Five. The name of that portion of Russell Avenue that extends between Lincoln Way and Fourth Street
is changed to"North Russell Avenue".
Section Six. The name of that portion of Hazel Avenue that extends between Lincoln Way and Sixth Street is
changed to"North Hazel Avenue".
Section Seven. The name of that portion of Maple Avenue that extends between Lincoln Way and Fourth Street
is changed to"North Maple Avenue".
Section EiLrht. The name of that portion of Oak Avenue that extends between Lincoln Way and Fourth Street
is changed to"North Oak Avenue".
Section Nine. The name of that portion of Elm Avenue that extends between Lincoln Way and Fourth Street
is changed to"North Elm Avenue".
Section Ten. The names of official plats affected by the above stated street names are: College Park Addition,
College Park Second, Reads Addition,Auditors Plat of Block 4 of Reads Addition,and Coopers First Addition. As notice
of these changes this ordinance shall be filed by the City Clerk with the County Recorder,the County Auditor and the
Ames City Assessor,all for the purpose of meeting the requirements of Section 354.26 Code of Iowa.
Section Eleven. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict,if any.
Section Twelve. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as
required by law.
